Will we build human ‘data centers’ or God’s ‘Data Centers’

America and seemingly every other nation in the world that hankers after and pretends to embrace limitless AI and other technologies, is putting a lot into artificial intelligence, but no one gives a doggone about investing in old fashioned human intelligence and spirituality. All the evidence is showing us that with rises in the use of AI and technology, human skills as attested to by intelligence tests, common sense, physical and spatial skills, and the quality of social interactions and ability to have soft skills like human empathy are decreasing rapidly. Note that I have not even mentioned the decline in ‘spiritual skills’. That is even more obvious as we have filled our churches and phones with screens displaying scripture, websites, and the latest lectures, bible studies, translations, etc., but not only is church attendance going down, but even the numbers of people who think church, religion and traditional values have any value at all other than cosmetic or cultural is declining ever faster, and ever further downward. Obviously, I’m not writing these words via internet technology to suggest we should abandon technology whole hog a go primitive. But common sense and spiritual values should let us know that not only is technology and the solutions its advocates claim to provide, not all it is cracked up to be, but can actually be dangerous. Families in the same household don’t spend time together or really ‘know’ each other because each, blessed with wall-to-wall high speed wi-fi spend time on phones, tablets and computers and not building real relationships. We must slow our belief in the idea that technology can and will solve all human problems down. Ladies and gentlemen, by not thoughtfully embracing technology, and competing and racing to see who can build, manipulate and sell it the fastest that we no matter what, we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction. Sons and Daughters of Ham, let them build data centers, the church is God’s Data Center, and if we continue placing our trust in the ‘works of our own hands’, rather than the soul sanctifying work of God, all humanity is perilously headed towards its own destruction, whether that ends in the destruction of habit, or the destruction of humanity, as drones and AI perfect the work we have set it to most decisively, its military applications.
